Description
650nm laser diode module is a low-cost, breadboard-friendly light-emitting tube with a wavelength of 650nm. This laser head module includes a condense lens and adjustable copper sleeve which can be operated at 5V. The focal length of the lens adjusted by a strong glue stick, which can work directly after connecting to the power supply. These are commonly used in laser test tools, in DIY projects or robotics, laser toys, laser projectors, etc. Easy installation of the module achieved by a 3 pin module with a fixed bolt hole. Thus laser diode used along with a driver circuit which can limit the exact amount of current fed into the laser diode. Too much current will burn the laser diode and also too little is not sufficient to operate. Therefore driver circuit gives the precise range of current needed to operate the laser diode or power supply.
Laser diode is an optoelectronic device, which converts electricity into light energy to supply high-intensity coherent light. Thus the p-n junction of the semiconductor diode acts as the laser medium or active medium in the laser diode. Laser light is monochromatic, which means it consists of one color i.e. Red and not a mix of colors. Moreover, Laser light is additionally called coherent light, one wavelength, as compared to incoherent light, hence consists of a good band of wavelengths.
